Project Background

The Thai government has elevated the development of the EV industry to a national strategy, with the goal of becoming the EV hub of Southeast Asia. Leveraging its mature gas station network for rapid deployment became the most efficient choice.

Implementation

An innovative “oil-electricity coexistence” model was adopted, installing charging piles inside traditional gas stations, side by side with fuel dispensers, to fully utilize existing land, power, and service facilities.

Project Significance

  • Accelerating network construction: leveraging a mature gas station network to rapidly build a nationwide charging network in the short term.
  • Reducing construction costs: reusing existing facilities and land to significantly lower station construction and operation investment.
  • Optimizing user experience: providing familiar, convenient recharging venues and alleviating range anxiety.
  • Promoting industrial integration: driving the deep transformation and integration of the traditional energy industry toward new energy.
